Raising Kellan and Healing Horses, Inc cosponsored a community event and the top entries of the Kid's Art Contest was announced May Day weekend.   This project took on a life of its own from the very beginning... Karen Pryor, a physical therapist we work with from Nashville, had sent us a color in project that her daughter Mica Foster, DC designed as a self regulation tool. Kellan was unable to utilize the design however we wanted to share the relevance of the design's message with the  kid's in the community, and this spawned the concept of the Kid's Art Contest.

Some of the 25 entries we received were displayed on a  digital art wall on our homepage.

Local Business became involved albeit the difficulties they faced during the coronavirus pandemic. Bluff City Soap donated gift boxes to the top 3 entries per age category and Jordan's Grab and Go donated some delish gelato to each child that entered. The judges who volunteered their time were: Dr Karen Bowyer, Ronda Heathcott and Mica Foster.

The entries were impressive to say the least and we went on to organize a PoP Up Art Gallery in the yard of a local home. The McIvers Grant Public Library became involved in the project and they went on to showcase the Art at the library after the #artintheyard. This is a video from our community event and below are the top entries per age group. Emilio Martin (5-7 years), Arabella( 8-12 years) and Baylee McCoy(13-18 years).
